In many stories, it is assumed the larger world is paying attention. Think of the weather matching a character’s mood or “things happening for a reason”. In other stories, the character is alone in an invisible sea of indifference; the terror of things much bigger than you being neither benevolent nor malevolent.
In this studio, we’ll explore through guided writing exercises and discussion this terror of indifference and, who knows, maybe come out not being so terrified after all.
